About the Role and Where You Will Be Working

The Team Leader - Community Housing will lead our team in supporting tenants and ensuring that homes are appropriately managed.

This position ensures ongoing tenant satisfaction and compliance with performance outcomes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead a team of Housing Officers and Administrator
  • Drive decision making and operations using a supportive landlord model
  • Encourage and assist Housing Officers in supporting tenants and providing connections to support services
  • Work collaboratively with the maintenance team in ensuring that homes are maintained
  • Chair quarterly Tenant Advisory Committee meetings
  • Manage tenant and community engagement obligations
  • Assist Housing Officers in conducting property inspections every 6 months
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders at Shelter WA and other providers
About You

This person would have demonstrated leadership attributes and interpersonal skills that align with our values and inspire others.

Previous experience in a similar role is strongly preferred.

Requirements
  • At least four years' experience in a similar position
  • Property Management Qualifications or equivalent qualification is desirable or prepared to undertake
  • Community Housing experience is preferred
  • Demonstrated working knowledge of the Residential Tenancies Act
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Excellent presentation and a positive, friendly, and flexible attitude
  • Intermediate skills in Microsoft Word, Outlook, and current driver's license
