About this role

We are seeking Disability Support Workers and Employment Trainers to assist individuals with disabilities in achieving their employment goals.

The successful candidate will provide personalized support, including meal management, domestic assistance, community access, employment guidance, and personal care. They will also transport clients to appointments and activities.

Key responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with clients to develop daily routines and activity schedules aligned with their NDIS goals;
  • Ensure a safe environment by completing daily support tasks;
  • Participate in the development and implementation of individual support plans to enhance clients' abilities, skills, and opportunities;

As an Employment Trainer Coach, you will:

  • Support school leavers in developing employability skills required for mainstream work;
  • Work with participants at their own pace within practical environments that foster learning and growth;

This role involves delivering our Employment Support program, helping young people with a disability prepare, train, find, gain, and maintain employment.

Requirements:

  • A passion for working with individuals with disabilities;
  • Excellent administration skills;
  • Experience working with employers and businesses to secure job opportunities;
  • Experience supporting people with disabilities in open or supported employment environments;
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team;
  • Physical fitness;
  • Computer literacy;
  • Self-supervision and composure in challenging situations;
  • Punctuality, reliability, honesty, and flexibility;
  • Capacity to provide high-quality support to clients in line with their specific needs;

Essential qualifications and certifications include:

  • Minimum Cert III in Disability or above, or equivalent experience;
  • NDIS Orientation Module;
  • NDIS Worker Screening Check;
  • First Aid/CPR certificates (current);
  • Australian driver's license/Valid International Driver's licence;
  • Working With Vulnerable People Card/Working with Children Check;
  • Fully vaccinated against COVID-19 or hold a valid medical exemption certificate;
  • Right to live and work in Australia.
