Job Title: Community Impact Specialist

The Community Impact Specialist will play a vital role in ensuring the success of our clients by providing exceptional support and tracking the impact of our services.

  • Conduct regular check-ins with clients to review the effectiveness of our services and address any additional needs
  • Identify and monitor trends among clients, reporting findings to Direct Supervisor
  • Escalate concerns when engaging with clients, ensuring timely interventions
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date client information in our database
  • Collect and analyze feedback, update case files, and assist in report preparation
  • Link clients with relevant internal and external supports or services as needed
  • Stay informed about news and process updates through regular email checks

Selection Criteria:

  • Excellent customer service and communication skills, including active listening, relationship building, problem solving, efficiency, empathy, and collaboration
  • Understanding of issues affecting people seeking asylum in Australia
  • Familiarity with trauma-informed practice or willingness to learn
  • Intermediate computer skills, including proficiency in using the internet, Google suite, and emails
  • Ability to work collaboratively with other staff and volunteers
  • Flexibility and willingness to take on extra tasks as required
  • Adherence to policies concerning code of conduct, boundaries, and confidentiality
