Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Technology Innovator to join our team. As a key member of our design technology group, you will be responsible for defining and achieving objectives for your team or project. You will independently deliver high-quality prototypes, support technical handoff, and help build confidence in design technology across the team.

This is an exciting opportunity to shape the future of our prototyping culture, champion best practices, and accelerate innovation through AI tooling and AI-toolchain workflow improvements for all of Atlassian Design.

Main Responsibilities
  • Create interactive prototypes using Figma and modern JS frameworks (React, etc.).
  • Apply foundational skills in design technology, including motion and accessibility.
  • Collaborate with engineers to clarify requirements and ensure smooth handoff.
  • Support junior designers in navigating technical considerations.
  • Contribute to the adoption of design system components and best practices.
  • Participate in accessibility and design reviews, ensuring inclusive experiences.
Requirements
  • 5+ years experience in design technology, prototyping, and front-end development.
  • Foundational skills in React, JS frameworks, prototyping AI tools as well as integrations and plugins for Figma.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.
  • Interest in AI/ML, motion, and accessibility in design.
