We are seeking a Senior Asset Improvement Engineer (E&I) to join our team at our Bunbury Operations in Western Australia.
The successful candidate will be responsible for planning, managing, and executing strategic capital electrical and instrumentation programs for our plants in accordance with Australian engineering codes and standards.
The role will also involve working closely with our Production, Maintenance, and T&I departments to ensure the effective operation and maintenance of key equipment.
Key Accountabilities- Provide technical leadership and support for E&I capital projects
- Custodian for plant governance and compliance for E&I statutory equipment, methods, and processes
- Develop and manage medium-long term E&I asset management plans to achieve business goals
- Develop, govern, and maintain systems, processes, and procedures related to E&I of the plant
- Prepare and administer budgets for E&I projects and programs, and identify opportunities for cost reduction
- Lead risk assessments and facilitate Root Cause Analysis (RCA) of major plant E&I detractors
To be successful in this role, you will need to possess:
- A Bachelor's Degree or higher in Electrical Engineering or a closely related discipline
- Significant post-graduate experience (10+ years) and in-depth knowledge in the following areas:
- Project management of capital projects for plant E&I systems
- HV/LV Switchgear MCC, HV Distribution, Transformer, and Packaged equipment
- Strong working knowledge and experience of current applicable Australian E&I standards and Codes
- Preparation of technical specifications, scope of works, and associated capital project documentation
- Managing work scope packages within the project budget and schedule requirements
CPEng or eligible for CPEng accreditation leading to NER Registration will be advantageous.
You will also need to have high-level organisation, time, and project management skills, with the proven ability to multitask and operate effectively in a high-pressure environment.
A strong communicator with excellent stakeholder management abilities is also essential.
You will be able to work autonomously but also enjoy working in a dynamic team environment.
