Key Responsibilities:

We are seeking a skilled Automotive Buyer to support our growing network of dealerships. The successful candidate will be responsible for sourcing and purchasing vehicles throughout the region on behalf of our dealer network.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Purchase vehicles across Australia for the dealership or dealer network.
  • Attend auctions to negotiate and secure competitive prices on vehicle acquisitions.
  • Inspect and assess vehicles to ensure they meet the quality standards required for resale.
  • Analyse market trends, pricing fluctuations, and customer demand to help forecast future inventory needs.
  • Assist in developing and managing the purchasing budget to optimise vehicle procurement.
  • Collaborate with the sales and inventory teams to maintain an appropriate balance of stock.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with auction houses, vendors, and industry contacts.

Key Skills and Qualifications:

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • Proven experience in automotive buying, sales, or related fields.
  • Strong negotiation skills with the ability to secure favourable deals.
  • A keen eye for detail and the ability to evaluate vehicle condition accurately.
