Our organisation is seeking an experienced Payroll Officer to join our team. This role presents a unique chance to contribute to the success of our mission-driven initiative, which has been supporting careers for over four decades.

Our comprehensive approach includes employing and mentoring over two hundred apprentices and trainees across various industries, ensuring compliance and efficiency in workforce management.
About the Role
In this key position, you will be responsible for managing the end-to-end payroll function, delivering a seamless experience for employees and clients alike. Your responsibilities will include:
- Processing payroll for employees on a weekly basis
- Onboarding, progressing, and offboarding employees effectively
- Maintaining and updating payroll-related records accurately
- Ensuring compliance with tax, PAYG, and audit standards
- Communicating efficiently with employees and other stakeholders
- Contributing to continuous improvement initiatives in payroll and invoicing processes
Requirements and Qualifications
To succeed in this role, you will need to bring:
- A minimum of three years' experience in payroll, with a strong understanding of Awards, EBAs, and payroll regulations
- Intermediate to advanced Excel skills
- Experience with payroll software, preferably WorkForce One
- An analytical mindset, with problem-solving and leadership advisory experience
- Relevant tertiary qualifications in Business or Payroll
- Strong communication skills to liaise with host employers, apprentices, and trainees
- A team player with a positive approach
