Our organisation is seeking an experienced Payroll Officer to join our team. This role presents a unique chance to contribute to the success of our mission-driven initiative, which has been supporting careers for over four decades.

About the Role

In this key position, you will be responsible for managing the end-to-end payroll function, delivering a seamless experience for employees and clients alike. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Processing payroll for employees on a weekly basis
  • Onboarding, progressing, and offboarding employees effectively
  • Maintaining and updating payroll-related records accurately
  • Ensuring compliance with tax, PAYG, and audit standards
  • Communicating efficiently with employees and other stakeholders
  • Contributing to continuous improvement initiatives in payroll and invoicing processes

Requirements and Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you will need to bring:

  • A minimum of three years' experience in payroll, with a strong understanding of Awards, EBAs, and payroll regulations
  • Intermediate to advanced Excel skills
  • Experience with payroll software, preferably WorkForce One
  • An analytical mindset, with problem-solving and leadership advisory experience
  • Relevant tertiary qualifications in Business or Payroll
  • Strong communication skills to liaise with host employers, apprentices, and trainees
  • A team player with a positive approach
