Distribution Operations Manager

About the Role:

This position involves overseeing and managing warehouse operations to ensure efficient distribution of goods to clients. It requires strategic planning, effective management of staff, and adherence to health and safety protocols.

The ideal candidate should have a strong background in logistics, leadership skills, and experience in team management. They must be able to analyze processes, implement improvements, and maintain accurate records.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Warehouse Management: Plan, direct, and coordinate warehouse activities to meet organizational objectives.
  2. Team Leadership: Supervise and train subordinate staff to ensure they are equipped with necessary skills and knowledge to perform their duties effectively.
  3. Inventory Control: Maintain accurate inventory levels, minimize stock loss, and manage stock rotation and expiry dates.
  4. Shipping and Receiving: Oversee receipt, inspection, storage, order assembly, and distribution of stock to customers and suppliers.
Requirements:
  • A minimum of 2 years of relevant warehouse, import, and export logistics experience.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks accordingly.
