Forensic Intervention Specialist

Role Summary

We are seeking an experienced Forensic Intervention Specialist to join our multidisciplinary team in delivering best-practice forensic intervention in a correctional environment.

Job Description

As a Forensic Intervention Specialist, you will build on your existing experience working with individuals who have histories of violent and sexual offending. You will be responsible for delivering comprehensive assessments, clinical interviews, treatment interventions, and risk assessments to support the reduction of reoffending and improve community safety.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver individualised services including comprehensive assessments, clinical interviews, treatment interventions, and risk assessments
  • Work within the Risk-Needs-Responsivity model to deliver evidence-based assessment tools and treatment programs
  • Prepare treatment plans, treatment reports, and risk assessment reports for internal and external stakeholders

Required Skills and Qualifications

To apply for this role, you will need to hold registration as a Psychologist with the Psychology Board of Australia and possess a current driver's license. Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander people are strongly encouraged to apply.
