Job Opportunity in Forensic Mental Health
The role involves working at various facilities, primarily the Central Queensland Forensic Mental Health Service.
Serving a male prison with approximately 900 inmates is a key responsibility, as well as female and juvenile inmates.
- Key responsibilities:
- Delivering healthcare services to inmates across multiple locations.
- Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive patient care.
Staff Specialist/Staff Specialist in Psychiatry, including Forensic Mental Health, will have opportunities to work closely with colleagues from different backgrounds and expertise.
This position requires strong communication skills, adaptability, and a commitment to providing high-quality patient care.
Requirements:
- Degree in Medicine (MBBS or equivalent).
- Fellowship in Psychiatry (FRANZCP) or equivalent experience.
- Current Australian Medical Registration or eligibility for registration.
- Strong clinical skills and ability to manage complex cases.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
