IT Service Continuity Specialist

This role involves managing continuity requirements for clients and delivering IT service continuity management services. The goal is to provide high-quality customer delivery of ITSCM services, with disaster recovery readiness aligned with client service continuity plans.

The role requires excellent customer relationship building skills, verbal and written communication skills, and the ability to work in a team environment. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills are also required to identify business needs and develop solutions to address them.

The ideal candidate will have 5+ years of experience in commercial IT, including mainframe and client/server technologies. Expert knowledge of information systems, operating systems, databases, and networking is essential for this role.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead disaster recovery teams in assessing, developing, coordinating, and communicating recovery environment requirements and plans for clients.
  • Ensure disaster recovery plans align with relevant legislation and organisational insurance requirements.
  • Identify recovery requirements for new applications and systems, manage implementation of recovery and availability techniques and technologies, and review periodically for ongoing validity.
  • Maintain monthly status reporting, plans, and other disaster recovery documentation.
  • Represent the ITSCM service on behalf of Datacom to clients.
  • Deliver high-quality ITSCM services ensuring compliance with relevant customer and Datacom policies, processes, and procedures.
  • Ensure all stakeholders adhere to relevant processes in line with customer requirements and best practices.
  • Support client business continuity and ITSCM projects as required.

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of experience in commercial IT, including mainframe and client/server technologies.
  • Expert knowledge of information systems, operating systems, databases, and networking.
  • Excellent customer relationship building skills.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work in a team environment.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
