Internal Plant Designer Job Description">

As an Internal Plant Designer, you will play a pivotal role in providing expert planning and guidance for internal plant-based solutions that meet customer and/or Rail requirements.

  • Participate in the planning process to determine future needs for optical fibre, copper and inside plant, and assist in formulating plans of action.
  • Undertake routine design work involving various duties related to internal plant facilities and infrastructure, requiring initiative, innovation and judgement based on sound technical expertise and experience.
  • Provide direction and practical technical advice to staff and contractors for the installation and maintenance of cable and inside plant.
  • Develop and provide written instructions in the form of design packs for the installation of new inside and outside plant and associated works.

The successful candidate will have experience in Telecommunication networks Internal Plant Design with proven experience in the telecommunications or electronics field, demonstrating specific experience with performing design, maintenance, commissioning or installations. You will also have extensive experience in the design and maintenance of Telecommunications facilities and support systems.

  • Telecommunications or Electronics background with relevant industry experience.
  • Proven experience in designing, maintaining, commissioning or installing telecommunication network systems.
  • Expertise in optical fibre, copper and inside plant planning.
  • Ability to formulate plans of action and participate in planning processes.
  • Initiative, innovation and judgment based on sound technical expertise and experience.
