Strategic Communications Specialist

A key role in ASIC's Moneysmart program is to inform, engage and protect Australian consumers through external communications.
Job DescriptionThis position will be part of a dynamic team working on consumer-focused priorities for Moneysmart. You'll collaborate with others to drive proactive external communications and reach consumers, investors and other stakeholders.
- Develop effective communication strategies for MoneySmart and ASIC's consumer-focused initiatives.
- Establish strong relationships with key media outlets, agencies and stakeholders to deliver integrated campaigns.
- Manage media activities and responses that align with strategic goals.
- Deliver impactful consumer communication content, including media releases, articles and digital assets.
This job sits within the Consumer Communications team responsible for consumer communications for ASIC and Moneysmart. The ideal candidate will have tertiary qualifications in communications, media or public relations, along with 6–8 years' experience in communications, media or PR.
The successful applicant will be a skilled communicator with exceptional written skills, able to craft compelling narratives while managing competing priorities and maintaining quality.
ASIC regulates corporations, markets, financial services and consumer credit, promoting market integrity and consumer protection in Australia.
