Business Development Lead Statutory Reporting

As a Business Development Lead for Statutory Reporting, you will be responsible for ensuring the team provides expert advice and support to ensure compliance with financial reporting requirements.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide expert advice on legislation, frameworks, policies, and practices relevant to financial management and governance.
  • Lead the preparation of monthly and annual financial reporting in line with statutory requirements and best practices.
  • Oversee the development and maintenance of the Financial Management Practice Manual and associated policies and guidelines.
  • Build staff capability through coaching, mentoring, and professional development strategies.
  • Develop and maintain strong working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.

To excel in this role, you will need to demonstrate:

  • Proven experience in the preparation, review, and submission of monthly and annual reporting to meet legislative and government requirements.
  • SUCCESSFUL EXPERIENCE IN ACCOUNTING ADVICE AND SUPPORT TO SENIOR MANAGEMENT.
  • Demonstrated public service professionalism and probity; and engagement in continuous improvement of work practices, systems, and processes.
  • High level of expertise with Microsoft Excel and Word and a good working knowledge of SAP or a similar finance system.
  • High level communication skills (both verbal and written) including consultation, negotiation, and liaison skills.
