Government Jobs Available - Project Officer Position

This position is located within the Branch, a Federal Government Department focused on contemporary client-centric service design and continuous improvement.

The team within the Branch manages all facets of enrolment, including enrolment capability development and coordination for other operational elements delivered through our state and divisional offices.

We are seeking a highly motivated Project Officer to join the team and contribute to the successful execution of our diverse projects. If you're adept at coordinating tasks, managing timelines, and fostering effective communication, this will be the role for you.

Key Responsibilities:

- Assist in planning, organising, and executing projects from inception to completion.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define project goals, scope, and deliverables.
- Monitor project timelines, identify potential roadblocks, and proactively implement solutions.
- Maintain clear and concise project documentation, including progress reports and status updates.
- Coordinate and facilitate communication between team members, stakeholders, and clients.
- Conduct risk assessments and implement mitigation strategies to ensure project success.
- Contribute to continuous improvement efforts by analysing project outcomes and suggesting process enhancements.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

To be successful, you will need proven experience (2 years) in project officer or coordination in the APS and the ability to obtain a security clearance.

You will need strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, are also essential. Proficiency in project officer software and tools is required.

A problem-solving mindset with a proactive approach to challenges and the ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment are also important.
