
Strategic HR Manager

The primary objective of this role is to provide strategic HR leadership and support the growth of our business by implementing effective workforce solutions, enhancing employee engagement, and ensuring compliance with legislative requirements.
This position requires a seasoned HR professional who can balance strategic planning with day-to-day operational HR support. The successful candidate will oversee the full spectrum of HR operations, including recruitment, performance management, employee relations, compliance, and culture initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement HR strategies aligned with business objectives.
- Partner with business units to design and deliver effective workforce solutions.
- Lead strategic HR projects and change management initiatives.
Employee Relations & Compliance:
- Provide expert advice on HR policies, Fair Work legislation, modern awards, WHS compliance, and best practices.
- Resolve employee relations matters, grievances, and misconduct issues in line with company policies and legal requirements.
- Develop, update, and implement HR policies, procedures, and supporting documents.
Performance Management & Development:
- Oversee performance appraisal processes, KPI setting, and development plans.
- Coach managers in identifying training needs and fostering employee growth.
- Promote a culture of continuous improvement and professional development.
Culture & Engagement:
- Champion organizational values, ensuring alignment across all staff.
- Design and deliver staff engagement, retention, and wellbeing initiatives.
- Foster a collaborative, inclusive, and high-performance workplace culture.
Operational HR Manager:
- Maintain HR systems, records, contracts, and documentation in compliance with legislative requirements.
- Lead remuneration reviews, workforce planning, and HR budgeting.
- Provide timely and accurate HR advice to managers and employees.
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum 5–8 years' HR generalist experience, with at least 2–3 years in a managerial role.
- Bilingual in Mandarin & English preferred.
- Strong knowledge of Australian Fair Work legislation, modern awards, and WHS requirements.
- Proven ability to balance strategic HR leadership with operational execution.
- Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
- Working knowledge in financial service sector like Banks, Mortgage companies or real estate an asset.
