About This Role:
  • We're seeking an experienced Design Manager to drive high-quality technical projects, ensuring alignment and integration of design solutions.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead project delivery: Oversee technical projects from conception to completion, focusing on timely execution and resource optimization.
  • Liaise with stakeholders: Communicate effectively with clients, internal teams, and construction partners to ensure seamless collaboration and issue resolution.
  • Cost management: Monitor and control design expenditures using robust tracking systems to optimize budgets and prevent overruns.
  • Technical oversight: Direct primary design, conduct design reviews, and collaborate with external consultants on electrical studies.
Requirements:
  • Proven experience as a Design Manager in major energy infrastructure projects (HV/EHV substations).
  • Primary design engineering experience, preferably with tertiary qualifications (e.g., Bachelor of Engineering).
  • CPEng or working towards it, along with membership (or eligibility) with a relevant engineering body (e.g., Engineers Australia).
