Design Leadership Opportunity

This is a key leadership position responsible for overseeing the design direction of major luxury residential and multi-residential projects. The successful candidate will be expected to set and guide the design vision, uphold and evolve the ethos of the studio, and ensure exceptional design standards across all output.

The Design Principal will lead and mentor design teams, from experienced architects to graduates, interface with senior leadership, and maintain cohesive communication across teams and with external consultants. This role requires strong leadership, presentation, and mentorship skills, as well as deep knowledge of software tools and building codes.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Set and guide the design direction of major luxury residential and multi-residential projects
  • Uphold and evolve the ethos of the studio
  • Oversee conceptual, schematic, and design development phases
  • Ensure exceptional design standards across all output
  • Lead and mentor design teams
  • Interface with senior leadership
  • Maintain cohesive communication across teams and with external consultants

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's or Master's in Architecture; registered architect status
  • QLD Board of Architect registration ideal
  • 10+ years in design leadership, preferably in high-end residential architecture
  • Demonstrated expertise in concept design and Subtropical Modernism or similar
  • Strong leadership, presentation, and mentorship skills
  • Deep knowledge of software tools (e.g. Revit, SketchUp) and building codes
