Design Director Opportunity

The ideal candidate will oversee major luxury and multi-residential projects, setting design direction and ensuring exceptional standards.

This role involves leadership and vision, project coordination, client engagement, quality assurance, and technical oversight.

  • Leadership & Vision: Set the design direction for luxury residential and multi-residential projects. Balance innovation, locality, durability, and elegance in design decisions.
  • Project & Team Coordination: Lead and mentor design teams. Collaborate with senior leaders to ensure seamless communication between departments.
  • Client & Stakeholder Engagement: Present design concepts to clients and articulate design rationale aligned with their vision and site context.
  • Quality & Sustainability: Enforce high-quality design through detail orientation and material selections. Integrate sustainability into every design.
  • Technical Oversight: Supervise deliverables like drawings and documents, adhering to codes and regulations.

To be successful, you will have a Bachelor's or Master's in Architecture; registered architect status; 10+ years in design leadership, preferably in high-end residential architecture; expertise in concept design and Subtropical Modernism; strong leadership, presentation, and mentorship skills; and deep knowledge of software tools (e.g. Revit, SketchUp) and building codes.

Candidates should also be comfortable working in a consulting environment and have experience leading major land development projects.
