Key Responsibilities- Design, build, and maintain scalable and efficient data pipelines to process large datasets from multiple sources.
- Integrate data from various sources, including databases, into a centralised data platform.
- Create and maintain data models to support business needs.
- Implement processes to ensure data accuracy, consistency, and security, including data cleansing and validation.
- Identify and address performance bottlenecks in data processing systems, optimising queries and pipelines.
- Work with Business Insight leads, and ICT to gather and clarify the data specifications and requirements to meet functional and non-functional requirements.
- Maintain detailed documentation of data systems, processes, and pipelines to ensure they are easily understood and maintained.
- Proven expertise in designing, developing, and maintaining scalable, efficient data pipelines that process and integrate large datasets from diverse sources, with a focus on data quality and governance.
- Hands-on experience with Python, PySpark, and SQL for data processing, transformation, and analysis.
- Proficient in modern data platforms such as Databricks and Azure Synapse, with a strong understanding of Azure DevOps for version control, CI/CD, and workflow automation.
- Solid experience in building and managing data models, ensuring data accuracy, consistency, and compliance.
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to navigate complex and ambiguous challenges.
- Demonstrates a data governance mindset, ensuring proper documentation, compliance with regulatory standards, and implementation of best practices.
