Position Details- Two fixed-term contracts available: 12-month parental leave cover and 8-month fixed-term

The Physiotherapy Department provides acute physiotherapy services to patients of The Alfred and Sandringham Hospital and subacute physiotherapy services to Caulfield Hospital.
The department is organised into functional streams: Neurological Rehabilitation, Musculoskeletal Rehabilitation, Health of Older Persons (HOP) and ABI.
The Physiotherapy Department has more than 100 EFT and employs over 170 staff. It remains committed to pursuing excellence in physiotherapy through clinical research.
Job Responsibilities- Responsible for the ongoing development and provision of physiotherapy services to units and programs assigned to the senior physiotherapist, dependent on the specific rotation, in consultation with stream leader and other senior clinical physiotherapy staff
- Education of physiotherapy students and supervision and professional development of Grade 1 staff assigned to their units
- Leadership, teamwork and communication to contribute to the development of individuals, the clinical team and the physiotherapy service
- Registered to practice in the state of Victoria via the relevant professional board
- Demonstrated advanced knowledge and skills in the provision of physiotherapy services in the relevant areas of physiotherapy
- Demonstrated ability to plan and manage a caseload, including the coordination of other staff
- Demonstrated ability to undertake quality initiatives
- Demonstrated ability to supervise students and Grade 1 Staff
- Demonstrated communication and time management skills
