High-Performance Control Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Control & Instrumentation Engineer to lead complex technical projects in industrial, manufacturing, and government sectors.

About the Role:

  • Lead control and instrumentation design, programming, configuration, testing, and commissioning of advanced systems.
  • Ensure technical accuracy and mentor junior engineers in best practices.
  • Develop comprehensive proposals, estimates, and technical documentation to meet client requirements.
  • Engage with stakeholders to maintain high standards of client satisfaction.
  • Pursue innovation by monitoring industry trends and emerging technologies.

Technical Requirements:

  • Extensive experience in industrial C&I engineering with hands-on expertise.
  • Strong knowledge of Australian Standards and Codes.
  • Proficiency in DCS (Bailey, Yokogawa, Honeywell), PLC (Allen Bradley, Modicon, Siemens), and SCADA systems (Citect, Geo SCADA, Experion, FactoryTalk, Wonderware).
  • Experience with motor control, P&ID/PFD preparation, instrumentation selection, and commissioning.
  • Expertise in communication protocols (Profibus, Fieldbus, HART) and safety instrumented systems.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from an Australian institution and RPEQ registration in Queensland.
  • Minimum 15 years' relevant experience in industrial or consulting environments.
  • CPEng/NPER-3 membership of Engineers Australia is preferred.
  • Engineering or Business Management studies are advantageous.
