A key aspect of this role is teamwork. As a retail shop assistant, you will be responsible for stock and shelf replenishment, working closely with your colleagues to ensure our store looks its best. You will also assist our valued customers by providing polite and friendly customer service, answering their questions and helping them find what they need.

We're currently looking for new staff to join our busy Leichhardt store in preparation for the peak trading period. The successful applicants will have a passion for delivering excellent customer service, a positive attitude and a willingness to learn and develop their skills.

The role requires the ability to work accurately and efficiently, maintaining high standards in everything we do. This includes:

  • Providing exceptional customer service above and beyond expectations
  • Maintaining fresh and appealing displays by keeping cases and shelves clean and well stocked
  • Maintaining accurate department signage and pricing
  • Maintaining back stock in good order
  • Maintaining a safe, clean and well-organised working and shopping environment

To be successful in this role, you will need to possess:

  • Previous retail experience, ideally in a supermarket environment
  • Customer-focused attitude
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Passion for quality food
  • Flexibility in availability, as we operate 7 days a week
