Job Opportunity: Construction Insurance Specialist

We are seeking an experienced professional to join our team as a Construction Insurance Specialist.

  • This role involves providing advice on Construction Insurance and preparing new business and renewal premium and policy terms for review by senior staff and referral to underwriters.
  • The successful candidate will support the development, design, and delivery of construction insurance products to Australian insurance brokers.
  • They will ensure compliance with binder conditions, codes of conduct, and insurance laws and regulations.
  • Additionally, they will set priorities and monitor workflows within the underwriting team as required, providing guidance and training to relevant staff and assisting in the review of their work.

  • Advanced analytical interpretation and problem-solving skills are also required, as well as the ability to develop internal and external relationships to meet and improve financial targets and monitor ongoing progress.
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills are necessary, with the ability to work well under pressure, establish and respond to changing priorities, manage multiple tasks, and meet competing deadlines.
Key Requirements:
  • Relevant underwriting experience in or in-depth knowledge of construction & engineering.
  • Proficient understanding of relevant legislation and policy frameworks.
  • Advanced interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills.
  • Advanced analytical interpretation and problem-solving skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop internal and external relationships.
