
Construction Insurance Specialist

We are seeking an experienced professional to join our team as a Construction Insurance Specialist.
- This role involves providing advice on Construction Insurance and preparing new business and renewal premium and policy terms for review by senior staff and referral to underwriters.
- The successful candidate will support the development, design, and delivery of construction insurance products to Australian insurance brokers.
- They will ensure compliance with binder conditions, codes of conduct, and insurance laws and regulations.
- Additionally, they will set priorities and monitor workflows within the underwriting team as required, providing guidance and training to relevant staff and assisting in the review of their work.

- The ideal candidate will have experience in or in-depth knowledge of construction and engineering, as well as proficiency in relevant legislation and policy frameworks.
- Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills are essential, along with the ability to liaise/consult and maintain meaningful working relationships at all levels.
- Advanced analytical interpretation and problem-solving skills are also required, as well as the ability to develop internal and external relationships to meet and improve financial targets and monitor ongoing progress.
- Excellent organisational and time management skills are necessary, with the ability to work well under pressure, establish and respond to changing priorities, manage multiple tasks, and meet competing deadlines.
- Relevant underwriting experience in or in-depth knowledge of construction & engineering.
- Proficient understanding of relevant legislation and policy frameworks.
- Advanced interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills.
- Advanced analytical interpretation and problem-solving skills.
- Demonstrated ability to develop internal and external relationships.
