About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Cybersecurity and Networking Expert to join our NSW Government client in Parramatta/WFH Flex location. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in enterprise firewall management, network security, and secure edge solutions, along with excellent troubleshooting skills and a proactive approach to security hygiene and incident response.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Firewall Expertise (Enterprise Environments) - Configure, manage, and maintain enterprise-level firewalls. Our preferred vendors are Cisco FTD, Fortigate, and Juniper SRX. Bonus points for Cisco ACI experience.
  • Security Hygiene and Incident Response - Implement best practices for security hygiene, respond to incidents, and perform proactive monitoring to maintain a secure environment.
  • Proxy / Secure Edge Configuration - Configure and manage secure edge solutions using Netskope Secure Edge as our preferred vendor.
  • Load Balancing Expertise - Deploy and manage load balancing solutions across enterprise networks using Citrix or F5.
  • WAN/LAN Expertise - Possess a strong foundational knowledge in WAN/LAN technologies to support diverse network environments.
  • Optional: Security Reporting / SIEM - Familiarity with security reporting tools and SIEM for comprehensive network analysis and reporting.

The estimated daily rate is $1000 - $1200 + Super. This contract is 6-months + extensions.
