Imaging Department Support Professional

This role is ideal for someone who is passionate about delivering exceptional care and support to patients within a busy Imaging Department. As an Imaging Department Support Professional, you will play a vital part in ensuring the smooth operation of our department, working closely with radiographers and other healthcare professionals to provide high-quality patient care.

The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting with patient care, including hoisting, changing, moving and administering medications as required. You will also assist healthcare professionals in performing imaging procedures, such as preparing rooms and chaperoning patients. In addition, you will be responsible for maintaining infection control measures, cleaning equipment and ensuring stock levels are adequate.

We are looking for someone who is able to work independently and as part of a team, with excellent communication skills and a strong commitment to patient care. If you are passionate about delivering high-quality care and are keen to develop your skills and knowledge, we would love to hear from you.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist with patient care, including hoisting, changing, moving and administering medications as required
  • Assist healthcare professionals in performing imaging procedures, such as preparing rooms and chaperoning patients
  • Maintain infection control measures, cleaning equipment and ensuring stock levels are adequate
  • Work collaboratively with radiographers and other healthcare professionals to deliver high-quality patient care
  • Develop and maintain effective relationships with patients, families and colleagues

Required Qualifications and Experience:

  • NVQ Level II or higher in Health & Social Care
  • Relevant experience in care, preferably in an Imaging Department
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong commitment to patient care and well-being
