Job Overview

We are seeking an Assistant to support our Imaging Department. This role is responsible for providing administrative, technical and caring services.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist with patient care, hoisting, changing, moving and administration of patients within the Imaging department
  • Support healthcare professionals in performing imaging procedures, such as room preparation and preparation of contrast media
  • Support infection control measures in the Imaging Department
  • Be responsible for general cleaning and assist in quality assurance programs for associated equipment
  • Be responsible for stock control in the area
  • Assist in the training of new non-radiographic staff, enabling them to become fully conversant with the duties applicable to them
Requirements:
  • NVQ Level II or higher in Health & Social Care
  • Relevant experience in care
  • Ability to communicate effectively
  • Shows awareness of information governance
