Job Summary

The Parents as Partners Coordinator is a key role in our organisation, responsible for establishing and managing the Parents as Partners Pilot program in Hume Merri-bek. This position involves recruiting, supporting, and mentoring Parent Partners to help families experiencing cumulative harm.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Recruit and manage Parent Partners, particularly those with lived experience.
  • Collaborate with community organisations and relevant government departments to deliver a scalable mentoring program.
  • Establish relationships with local community groups to promote family engagement and empowerment.

Essential Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in a community services, community development, health or human services area preferred.
  • Coaching or workplace change qualifications, or substantial experience in providing structured follow-on support.
  • Ability to provide feedback without bias or judgment.
  • Understanding of cultural safety and empathy for diverse backgrounds.
