Financial Operations Specialist

About the Role
The Financial Operations Specialist will be responsible for conducting debt management activities, including liaising with debtors and reconciling debtor accounts. This role will also involve assessing and processing levy waiver applications and payment plan applications, as well as writing off debts and managing general correspondence.
About You
- This position requires experience in customer service, data entry, and working with various software applications. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of debt management and account receivables processes, and be able to follow procedures accurately and efficiently.
- Strong analytical skills are essential, as the successful candidate will need to conduct statistical reporting on debtor profiles, collection rates, and workload. They will also be responsible for planning and implementing projects, and testing system upgrades.
- A high level of proficiency in Microsoft Excel is required, as the successful candidate will need to develop and produce statistical reports. Stakeholder management experience, including building and maintaining relationships with internal and external stakeholders, is also highly desirable.

As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for providing training, coaching, and ongoing support to colleagues, ensuring compliance with internal policies and procedures. You will also be involved in decision-making, applying sound judgment to make recommendations on levy waivers and payment plans.
