Water Treatment Operations Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Water Treatment Operations Specialist to join our team at the Central Coast Council.
About the Role:This is a challenging and rewarding opportunity for an experienced professional to contribute to the provision of cost-effective water and wastewater services to our community.
The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting the operational team in the management and maintenance of our water treatment plants, ensuring that all operations are conducted in accordance with relevant guidelines and legislation.
You will be required to investigate faults, provide technical advice, and implement process improvements to ensure optimal plant performance and customer satisfaction.
- Main Responsibilities:
- Provide technical expertise and support to the operational team in the management and maintenance of water treatment plants.
- Investigate and resolve complex process issues, providing recommendations for improvements and implementing changes as necessary.
- Develop and maintain documentation related to plant operations and maintenance, including procedures, training materials, and reports.
- Collaborate with colleagues to achieve departmental goals and objectives, including contributing to capital works projects and providing specialist input to major projects.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A degree qualification in Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience and qualifications.
- Current Class C Drivers Licence.
- Current Confined Spaces Certification or willingness to obtain.
- Valid Construction General Induction card - NSW SafeWork or equivalent.
- Experience in the operational aspects of water and sewerage treatment facilities and associated regulatory requirements.
The successful candidate will receive a competitive salary range of $99,700 to $119,600 per annum, plus 11.5% superannuation.
In addition, we offer a range of benefits, including:
- A leaseback vehicle provided for official duties and private use.
- A vehicle allowance of $207.31 per week may be paid if a vehicle is not available immediately.
- Access to a 9-day fortnight arrangement.
