Your Role: Regional WHSE Lead WA

As a key member of our national WHSE team, you will provide oversight and drive consistent implementation of Health, Safety, and Environmental systems in the WA region.

You'll ensure that risk management and risk mitigation processes are in place, focusing on regulatory compliance and zero-harm culture promotion.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Monitor health, safety, and environmental incidents, supporting sites with investigation, root cause analysis, and corrective action.
  • Engage with external regulatory bodies (WorkSafe, EPA) and recommend continuous improvements for our Group WHSE System.
  • Develop and implement environmental, health, and safety programs tailored to regional needs.
  • Identify common hazards and establish guidelines for control, promoting a zero-harm workplace.
  • Champion a proactive safety culture by providing expert advice and support to Divisional and Site Management teams.
  • Establish and maintain risk management and risk mitigation programs aligned with organizational objectives.
  • Cultivate strategic partnerships with stakeholders to advance sustainability goals.

Your Qualifications and Experience

We seek an experienced professional with:

  • A strong background in WHS and Environmental management, preferably as a Safety and Environmental Manager.
  • Qualifications in WHS or Environmental fields (Cert IV, Diploma, or similar tertiary qualifications).
  • Demonstrated expertise in hazard identification, risk management, and incident investigation.
  • Proven experience in developing, implementing, monitoring, and auditing Safety or Environmental Management Systems.
  • Excellent communication skills to engage with diverse stakeholders around risk management.
  • Leadership and mentoring abilities to foster a Quality culture within the organization.
  • Data analysis and report writing capabilities.
  • A passion for driving results, change, and continuous improvement.
