About the Role


We are seeking a highly skilled WHSE Manager to join our team in WA. As a key member of our national WHSE team, you will provide oversight and drive consistent implementation of our Health, Safety and Environmental systems.


Key Responsibilities



  • Provide oversight of health, safety and environmental incidents and support sites with incident investigation, root cause analysis and corrective action close out.
  • Monitor and drive activities with external regulatory bodies and provide recommendations for continuous improvement.
  • Plan and implement environmental, health and safety programmes.
  • Identify common hazards and establish guidelines for hazard control.
  • Promote a zero-harm culture by providing expert advice and driving implementation of our WHSE system.
  • Establish risk management and risk mitigation programmes.
  • Monitor and champion changes to regulatory environments.
  • Support the development and coordination of strategies.
  • Train and educate leaders on our safety management systems.

Requirements


To be successful in this role, you will have:



  • Extensive experience as a Safety and Environmental Manager.
  • Qualifications in the WHSE field (Cert IV, Diploma in Environmental/Risk field or similar tertiary qualification).
  • Strong knowledge and understanding of WHS and Environmental legislation.
  • Strong skills in hazard identification, risk management and incident investigation.
  • Previous experience in developing, implementing, monitoring and auditing Safety or Environmental Management Systems.
  • Excellent communication capability with all stakeholders around risk management.
  • Leadership and mentoring experience to improve our Quality culture.
  • A high level of initiative and ability to work independently, remotely and manage competing priorities.
  • Data analysis and solid report writing capability.
  • A passion for driving results, change and continuous improvement.
