About Northeast Health Wangaratta

Northeast Health Wangaratta (NHW) is a major healthcare provider in the Central Hume region, offering a diverse range of acute, sub-acute, aged care, and community services.

We are seeking an experienced Research and Development Officer to join our research team, working closely with the clinical trials team and research coordinator. The successful candidate will contribute to local level support and advice to researchers, undertaking comprehensive reviews of all research projects prior to submission to the NHW Human Research Ethics Committee.

The role requires leadership skills, high-quality advice, and services to facilitate efficient review, approval, monitoring, reporting, and administration of research conducted across Northeast Health. The officer will also assist in implementing and managing policies, procedures, and processes supporting best practice in research, ethics, and governance.

To succeed in this role, you should have experience in and passion for providing high-quality health services and clinical research. You must be self-motivated, able to prioritize a workload, a confident and clear communicator, and operate well in a team environment.

Northeast Health Wangaratta is based in Wangaratta, a city with a population of approximately 30,000. Our catchment serves a community of around 100,000 throughout the northeast.
