Role Summary

Northeast Health Wangaratta seeks a Critical Care Senior Resident Medical Officer to provide direct clinical services in our Critical Care Services. The successful candidate will improve care for patients in the Emergency Department, Intensive Care Unit, Anaesthetics and Perioperative Care.

Key Responsibilities

The Critical Care Senior Resident Medical Officer will:

  • Provide clinical management and consultation services to Critical Care patients under direct supervision or over the telephone by respective Consultants.
  • Engage in quality assurance activities within the departments allocated.
  • Support advancement into specialty training programs offered by the Australasian College for Emergency Medicine, College of Intensive Care Medicine of Australia and New Zealand, Australian and New Zealand College of Anaesthetists, Royal Australian College of General Practitioners, and Royal Australian College of Rural and Remote Medicine.
Work Environment

Northeast Health Wangaratta provides a range of acute specialist medical and surgical services, an emergency department, critical care unit, obstetrics and gynaecology, paediatrics, specialised aged care, medical oncology services, community rehabilitation, inpatient, community, aged and psycho-geriatric mental health services. We have onsite radiology, pathology and blood bank services.
