
Family Violence Therapeutic Referral Specialist

We are seeking an experienced professional to fill a key role in our family violence service system. The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting practitioners to develop and understand therapeutic readiness for referrals to family violence counselling.
The position requires a strong understanding of the impact of family violence on individuals and communities, as well as excellent communication and advocacy skills. The ideal candidate will be able to work effectively with victim survivors and their children, providing support and guidance to ensure their safety and well-being.
The role involves working closely with practitioners to enable the flow of referrals to family violence counselling, prioritizing the voice and agency of victim survivors in the referral process. This includes advocating for services to expand their understanding of the negative impact of multiple service system responses.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and support practitioner understanding of therapeutic readiness for family violence counselling referrals
- Prioritize victim survivor voice and self-agency in referral processes
- Advocate for services to expand their understanding of negative impacts of multiple service system responses
A minimum Bachelor level qualification in Social Work or recent employment in the family violence sector is required. We also value candidates who have experience working with diverse communities and have a strong understanding of the complexities of family violence.
