Job Overview

The Production Supervisor plays a pivotal role in the galvanizing plant, overseeing the safety, quality, and production of operations across all areas.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Leading the production schedule to meet customer turnaround times and ensuring efficient throughput while minimizing downtime through proactive maintenance coordination.

  • Managing production process control, including sampling, analysis, and adjustments. Overseeing galvanizing quality to minimize post-process dressing and ensuring QA systems compliance through operator training.

  • Coordinating with Operations, Sales, and Customer Service teams to meet customer delivery, quality, and design expectations.

  • Enforcing safe work practices, investigating incidents and near-misses, and ensuring all safety and environmental events are reported in the business system.

  • Supporting operator performance management, timekeeping, and conducting disciplinary actions where needed. Training staff in quality and safety procedures.

  • Ensuring routine tasks such as bath monitoring, production recording, and schedule adherence are executed accurately and consistently.

  • Monitoring labor and consumable usage, recommending cost-saving initiatives and ensuring waste is minimized.

  • Acting as interim Operations Manager when required, maintaining safety and production continuity.
