Production Operation Lead

The Production Supervisor plays a pivotal role in spearheading the safety, quality, and production of operations for all areas within the galvanizing plant.
Key Responsibilities Include:
- Lead the production schedule to meet stringent delivery standards while minimizing downtime through proactive maintenance coordination.
- Manage production process control, including sampling, analysis, and adjustments. Ensure galvanizing quality is optimized to minimize post-process dressing and ensure QA systems compliance through operator training.
- Coordinate with Operations, Sales, and Customer Service teams to meet customer delivery, quality, and design expectations.
- Enforce safe work practices, investigate incidents and near-misses, and ensure all safety and environmental events are reported in the business system.
- Support operator performance management, timekeeping, and conduct disciplinary actions where needed. Train staff in quality and safety procedures.
- Ensure routine tasks such as bath monitoring, production recording, and schedule adherence are executed accurately and consistently.
- Monitor labor and consumable usage, recommending cost-saving initiatives and ensuring waste is minimized.
- Act as interim Operations Manager when required, maintaining safety and production continuity.
