Job Title: Senior Service Manager
About the RoleThe role involves leading services within Children, Families and Justice Social Work, deputising for the Chief Social Work Officer as required, and influencing the organisation at senior levels across the Council, Health and Social Care Partnership and partner organisations.
The successful candidate will lead a team of social work professionals to deliver high-quality services, develop and implement strategic plans to improve service delivery and outcomes for service users, ensure compliance with relevant legislation, policies, and procedures, collaborate with other agencies and stakeholders to promote integrated working and best practices, provide expert advice and support to the council, elected members, staff, service users, and their families.

Key Responsibilities- Lead Team: Lead and manage a team of social work professionals to deliver high-quality services.
- Develop Plans: Develop and implement strategic plans to improve service delivery and outcomes for service users.
- Ensure Compliance: Ensure compliance with relevant legislation, policies, and procedures.
- Collaborate: Collaborate with other agencies and stakeholders to promote integrated working and best practices.
- Provide Advice: Provide expert advice and support to the council, elected members, staff, service users, and their families.
- Degree in Social Work: A degree in Social Work or equivalent Social Work qualification.
- Registration with SSSC: Registration with the Scottish Social Services Council (SSSC).
- Senior Management Experience: Significant experience in a senior management role within social work.
- Leadership and Management Skills: Strong leadership and management skills.
