Job Title: Senior Mental Health Leadership Position

The Director Mental Health is a senior leadership role responsible for the development, planning, policy, strategic direction and system-wide communication of mental health services on behalf of the System Manager.

This position requires providing leadership to relevant taskforces, developing, implementing and evaluating strategies, policies and guidelines to support mental health reform initiatives.

The incumbent will coordinate with Health Service Providers (HSPs), the Mental Health Commission and key government agencies, manage relationships with key stakeholders and ensure the efficient and effective management of resources.

The role is also responsible for ensuring high-quality mental health services across the WA health system and identifying critical gaps in meeting the increasingly high levels of need amongst the WA population.
