IT Operations and Service Delivery Specialist

This role offers a unique opportunity to work on a pioneering program, delivering an essential sovereign capability for the nation.

As IT Operations and Service Delivery Specialist, you will oversee the IT operations and service delivery functions within the organisation, ensuring seamless integration with existing operations.

The primary responsibilities include:

  • Ensuring the smooth operation of IT systems, managing infrastructure, and overseeing network security obligations.
  • Identifying and managing resources needed for budgeting, planning, and delivering technology services and systems.
  • Continually improving people, tools, and processes to optimise value delivery streams.
  • Managing service desk operations, ensuring timely resolution of IT issues, and maintaining high customer satisfaction.
  • Leading and mentoring the IT team, providing training and development opportunities.
  • Overseeing IT projects from initiation to completion, ensuring they are delivered on time and within budget.

About You

  • Tertiary qualifications in IT or a relevant field, and/or demonstrated relevant experience.
  • A minimum of 7 years of experience in IT operations and service delivery, with at least 4 years in a leadership role.
  • Certifications such as ITIL, PMP, or CISSP are highly desirable.
  • Significant experience in IT leadership roles and fostering DevSecOps culture.
  • Strong understanding of IT service management frameworks and project management.
  • Excellent problem-solving, decision-making, and communication skills.
  • Knowledge of defence industry standards and regulations.
