Disability Support Worker Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Disability Support Worker to join our team. In this role, you will provide exceptional support to individuals with disabilities, prioritising their care and well-being.

You will work closely with our clients to understand their needs and preferences, creating tailored support plans that help them achieve their goals. This may involve:

  • Providing person-centred supports in age-appropriate activities and tasks
  • Supporting clients to access community activities and outings
  • Delivering direct personal care assistance as per the client's plan and team leader's direction
  • Ensuring completion of accurate documentation and recording relevant information in client notes
  • Actively contributing to a team environment through open communication and participation in regular meetings and planning processes

To be successful in this role, you will require:

  • Current First Aid and CPR certification
  • COVID-19 vaccinations
  • Medication Certificate
  • Manual Handling certificate
  • National Police check
  • NDIS Worker Screening check
  • NDIS Worker Orientation Module Certificates
  • A full driver's licence and unrestricted access to a vehicle
