As Inventory Control Lead at our Benalla site, you will play a critical role in overseeing the daily operations of inventory management within the organization.

The Inventory Control Lead is responsible for ensuring the accuracy and integrity of inventory records, developing and implementing inventory control procedures, supervising inventory staff, and collaborating with other departments to maintain optimal stock levels and support operational requirements.

This challenging yet rewarding role offers numerous opportunities for technical growth and innovation. You will work closely with the procurement, production, warehouse, and logistics teams to ensure inventory meets organizational needs.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Supervising and guiding inventory control team members, including assigning tasks, providing training, and monitoring performance
  • Ensuring accurate and timely recording of all inventory transactions, including receipts, transfers, adjustments, and shipments
  • Conducting regular cycle counts, reconciliations, and full physical inventories to verify stock accuracy and resolve discrepancies
  • Developing, implementing, and enforcing inventory control policies and procedures to maximize efficiency and minimize risk of loss
  • Generating and analyzing inventory reports, identifying trends and areas for improvement

As Inventory Control Lead, you will also be responsible for maintaining inventory management systems (ERP/WMS), ensuring data is current and reliable. Additionally, you will support audits (internal and external) and provide required documentation regarding inventory records.

To succeed in this role, you will require strong knowledge of inventory management software and systems. Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills are essential, as well as the ability to communicate effectively and work collaboratively across departments.

Key qualifications include:

  • Proven experience in inventory control, warehouse operations, or supply chain management
  • Previous leadership or supervisory experience preferred
  • Strong knowledge of inventory management software and systems
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
