Job Summary

We are seeking a seasoned professional to fill the role of Commercial and Capital Finance Manager. This position plays a pivotal part in the Financial & Business Services Division, offering strategic expertise to stakeholders to optimise value, manage risk and capitalise on commercial opportunities.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for identifying, developing and supporting the delivery of potential strategic business opportunities, structuring and negotiating complex commercial engagements and contributing to the development and maintenance of commercial strategy and policy.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide strategic, comprehensive and insightful management reporting, analysis and advice to support the University commercial portfolio and strategic goals.
  • Identify, develop and support delivery of potential strategic business opportunities.
  • Structure and negotiate complex commercial engagements; contribute to development and maintenance of commercial strategy and policy.
  • Play a pivotal role in the placement and ongoing management of the University's insurance program.
Ideal Candidate

The successful candidate will possess extensive experience in providing strategic, comprehensive and insightful management reporting, analysis and advice, with a proven ability to apply this to a commercial portfolio.

You will have experience in managing complex commercial matters, with confidence in negotiating and delivering effective contract management. Additionally, you will be skilled in developing, building and maintaining effective professional relationships with high-level internal and external stakeholders.
