About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Child and Youth Worker to join our team at the Department for Child Protection. As a Child and Youth Worker, you will play a vital role in supporting vulnerable children and young people in our care, providing a safe and nurturing environment for them to grow and develop.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide individualized support to children and young people, addressing their unique needs and goals
  • Develop and implement personalized care plans, working closely with the child, their family, and other stakeholders
  • Assist with daily living tasks, such as meal preparation, hygiene, and personal care
  • Plan and participate in activities that promote social, emotional, and cognitive development
  • Offer trauma-informed care and support, helping children and young people manage challenging behaviors
  • Collaborate with other professionals to ensure comprehensive support and services

Requirements
  • Relevant experience working with children and young people, preferably in a residential care setting
  • Qualifications in child and youth care, social work, or a related field
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
