Aboriginal Child and Youth Care Specialist

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Child and Youth Worker to join our team at the Department for Child Protection. As a Child and Youth Worker, you will play a vital role in supporting the well-being and development of Aboriginal children and young people in our care.
Key Responsibilities- Provide individualized support and care to children and young people, including assistance with daily living tasks and activities.
- Develop and implement individualized plans to promote the social, emotional, and educational development of children and young people.
- Work collaboratively with other professionals to ensure the best possible outcomes for children and young people.
- Contribute to a safe and supportive environment that promotes the physical and emotional well-being of children and young people.
- Relevant qualifications and experience working with children and young people, particularly in an Aboriginal context.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment and build strong relationships with children, young people, and colleagues.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work with people from diverse backgrounds.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and public holidays.
