Job Opportunity: Territory Sales Executive

About the Position

We are seeking a skilled and motivated sales professional to maximize product distribution and presence in independent grocery stores.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for merchandising, executing tasks accurately, and building strong relationships with store staff. This role requires effective management of local groups, selling new products, and driving seasonal sales through volume deals.

Responsibilities
  • Increase product ranging within allocated territories in line with key performance indicators (KPIs)
  • Manage local groups to achieve maximum sales potential
  • Sell and execute new product launches as per KPI targets set out by senior management
  • Sell and execute off-location displays to enhance brand presence and drive sales in targeted areas
  • Drive seasonal sales through volume deal negotiations with store managers
  • Effectively manage store lists and visit frequencies in accordance with client program expectations
  • Monitor and report on store compliance with agreed ranging plans and planogram specifications
  • Escala non-compliance to agreed ranging/promotional activity
  • Report competitor activity and new product discoveries
Key Qualifications
  • Strong relationship-building skills
  • Able to influence and drive positive outcomes
  • Previous experience in independent grocery, multi-site operations, and banner groups
  • Excellent communication skills with ability to work across all levels of the organization
  • Able to interpret basic sales data to formulate store-specific sales strategies
  • Strong problem-solving skills with a solution-oriented approach
  • Proven ability to multitask and work under pressure
  • Able to work autonomously and use own initiative
