About the Opportunity

We are seeking a Lead Complex Project Delivery Specialist to join our Nuclear and Capability Business Unit as we grow [Company]'s capabilities to support both Collins Class and Nuclear-Powered Submarine Programs.

The successful candidate will lead complex, long-term business capability growth and enhancement projects. They will coordinate cross-functional teams and ensure successful delivery of strategic objectives within the N&C Business Unit.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Establish, lead, and manage project teams to deliver strategic objectives
  • Develop and maintain project schedules and budgets
  • Establish project management governance framework
  • Schedule risk assessments and identify and mitigate project risks
  • Support and develop project management talent
  • Coordinate with key internal and external stakeholders
  • Ensure compliance with defence and safety standards
  • Report on project progress to senior leadership
  • Drive continuous improvement and innovation

 

About You

Minimum 10 years' experience in complex project environments

Proven leadership in setting up project teams, managing project managers, and coordinators

Strong governance and process development capabilities

Understanding and experience working in centralised services business model

Skilled in managing diverse projects (e.g. supply chain, workforce, technology, infrastructure)

Proficient in project management tools (e.g. Primavera P6, Jira, Cobra)

Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills

Autonomous, goal-directed, and capable of managing multiple priorities

Tertiary qualifications in a technical or project management discipline

 

Eligibility

This role requires a current National Police Clearance and an Australian Defence Security Clearance to an NV1 level.
