About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Local Area Coordinator to join our team at Feros Care. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in empowering people with disability, their families, and carers to build, pursue, and fulfill their goals and aspirations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Empower people with disability to exercise choice and control over their lives, promoting independence and self-advocacy.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with participants, families, and carers, providing support and guidance to achieve their goals.
  • Work collaboratively with local communities, mainstream services, and other stakeholders to raise awareness and promote inclusivity.
  • Utilize a strengths-based approach to help participants understand their funding and explore ways to achieve their goals.
  • Travel within our service regions to engage with participants and communities, promoting a place-based approach to service delivery.
Requirements
  • Relevant qualifications in disability, allied health, community services, or a minimum of 2 years' experience working with people living with disability or lived experience with disability or caring for someone with disability.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with diverse stakeholders.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing tasks and managing multiple responsibilities.
  • Strong time management and organizational skills, with attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.
  • Flexibility to work additional hours outside of core business hours, as required.

  • Salary banding from $80,861 - $86,849 depending on relevant qualifications and years of experience.
