Job Title: Senior Lawyer, Mergers and Exemptions Specialist
Job DescriptionThe successful candidate will provide high-level legal advice on complex issues relating to mergers and exemptions law. This includes providing strategic and policy advice on matters impacting the ACCC's functions and powers.
Responsibilities- Provide legal advice on mergers and exemptions law, including conducting research and analysis of relevant legislation.
- Assist with the conduct of investigations and court proceedings for the ACCC.
- Conduct legal research and prepare complex court documents, including pleadings and submissions.
- Admission as a practitioner of the High Court or the Supreme Court of an Australian State or Territory.
- Experience in working effectively as a lawyer advising and guiding line areas under tight timeframes.
- Knowledge of Part IV of the Competition and Consumer Act 2010 is highly desirable.
As a Senior Lawyer, you will be part of a dynamic team providing high-quality legal services to the ACCC. You will have opportunities to develop your skills and expertise in mergers and exemptions law.
