Job Opportunity

We are seeking a skilled and enthusiastic casual sessional to join our team in the discipline of Biosciences and Food Technology. The successful applicant will be responsible for teaching and marking in the fields of Microbiology and Immunology, contributing to a culture of quality learning and teaching.

The role will involve working onsite at one of our campuses in Melbourne - Bundoora or City Campus. You will have the opportunity to engage with students in a first-year practical class, covering topics such as basic microbiology, immunology (serology), diagnostic microbiology, and research methods.

To be successful in this role, you will need to demonstrate your ability to teach in an enthusiastic, concise, and engaging manner, as well as possess demonstrable knowledge, technical skills, and safety practices relevant to the course content. Additionally, you will need to be able to grade student assessment and provide feedback, as well as work effectively as part of a team.

The minimum qualification requirements for this role include a minimum of Honours or above for Bachelor level courses, and a PhD for Master's level courses.
